By David Ian Neville. In an old warehouse by the River Clyde, Paul and Mhairi Blaze have built a successful design company. But as the economic downturn bites, they need more than grand designs to save their business and their relationship.

Daniela Nardini gets the best role in this drama set in the design and fashion scene of Glasgow. She's a bit like Mary "Queen of Shops" Portas, only her nickname would be "Princess of Primark". This is a follow-on drama from last year's Blaze, which saw the central characters, the husband-and wife entrepreneurial team of Paul and Mhairi Blaze, watch their life go into freefall when the son Paul never knew he had turned up. As this play opens, Paul is caught trying to secure a loan for a business venture that's gone wrong. Mhairi knows nothing until in strides Clara (the aforementioned Princess of Primark) with an offer of investment and another dirty secret about Paul. This is nicely written and well-paced, but it's difficult to enjoy a drama when the three main characters are so unlikeable.
