9.51 is the Vista-capable version (it also tested+works 100% on XP).

This software can be installed new or used to update an existing copy of Dragon 9.1 Pro to 9.51 Pro. If updating, use second serial only. Your language files will be preserved, unless you choose otherwise, and you can continue dictating as usual in ver. 9.51, the software interface language is automatically preserved.

According to recent expert opinion "even on non-Vista machines ver. 9.5 is faster than ver. 9.0 because the code from the service release patch (9.1) has been consolidated and even when you discount the support for IE 7, Office 2007 and Vista, there are some additional improvements."

If useing a client (like uTorrent) which allows to select files, you can leave out large .CAB language packs not specifically required. (NB: NatSpeak.cab will always be required!)

example_1: if you only want french language, get FRA.cab, FRAGen~1.cab, TutFRA.cab + NatSpeak.cab

example_2: if you only want UK English, get ENX.cab, ENG.cab, ENGGen~1.cab, TutENX.cab + NatSpeak.cab

However, this idea is not entirely tested yet, so for all versions of english to work, it MAY BE necessary to have the default FRENCH lang files available, but not the other types of english. Experiment a bit and post your results.

1. Deconecter vous du net
2. Prenez ce serial : A209F-X00-F4R7-80H6-J3
3. Sautez les étapes d'enregistrement.
4. Lancez le logiciel, mettez "Activer Maintenant" puis "Activation Manuelle"
5. Changez votre sérial mis précédemment par celui la :A109A-K13-3ZXD-BAP5-TE
6. Utilizez MSCONFIG.exe pour deactiver SSBkgdupdate et ISUSPM dans Windows Startup (cela previendra le nagscreen d'enregistrement plus tard, et l'épreuve du sérial en ligne)
7. N'utilizez jamais le option 'Help - Check for Updates' en ligne, puis cela peut invalider le sérial et bloquer le soft.

1. Disconnect your computer from Internet (or block firewall)
2. Use this serial initially : A209F-X00-F4R7-80H6-J3
3. ... to get past all registration stages.
4. When setup software asks, choose options "Activate Now" and then "Manual Activation"
5. Now use this serial to activate :A109A-K13-3ZXD-BAP5-TE
6. Use MSCONFIG.exe to deactivate SSBkgdupdate and ISUSPM at windows startup (prevents regular registration nags and activation key blocking via online check)
7. Never use the program option 'Help - Check for Updates' while online, as the blacklisted activation key will be blocked, freezing the software.

Final tip, to get a multilingual interface on the installation procedure:

once downloaded files are extracted from RAR into one directory, modify the file 'setup.ini' by going to the [Languages] section and changing count=1 to count=6. You will then be given a choice of languages on installation.

(Note however that the activation dialog at the end of the installation may still be in the default language)


Also, after installation, if you want to change the software default interface language, go to:

Cocuments and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataNuanceNaturallySpeaking9nssystem.ini

at [Settings] change the "2" in 'Default Language and Dialect=2,1' to: "1" for english; "2" for french; "4" for german; "7" for dutch.

So, for the french default interface you'd have: Default Language and Dialect=2,1
So, for the english default interface you'd have: Default Language and Dialect=1,1
