SYNOPSIS
This made-for-TV movie is based on the book by Desmond Bagley.

This BBC Scotland production of 1978 was filmed on location in Iceland. Retired former agent Alan Stewart (Stuart Wilson) is blackmailed by his former boss Slade (George Sewell) into delivering a "package" in Iceland. It seems a simple messenger boy's job until events soon take a dramatic turn and he finds himself and his Icelandic girlfriend Elin (Ragnheiour Steindorsdottir) in a Land Rover being pursued through the rugged volcanic landscape by his old enemy Kennikin (Vladek Sheybal). Slightly dated because of the Cold War theme, but stands up well as an action-adventure spy story with fabulous scenery.
