I'm dreaming of a prog Christmas, and the December People must have heard me. This release is a wonderful holiday gift for progressive rock fans everywhere. In reality, the December People are not a group, but the name that Robert Berry has chosen to work under for this project. Imagine an album of Christmas favorites performed in progressive rock style -- it's all here, the extended and powerful arrangements and virtuosity that you expect from the genre loaded with a healthy dose of holiday cheer. Berry has enlisted the aid of some stellar vocalists for his version of caroling. Among the luminary singers on the album are Steve Walsh (Kansas), John Wetton (UK, King Crimson), Trent Gardner (Magellan), and others. So taken was Walsh with the project that Kansas even saw fit to add a track of its own. There are no weak pieces here; all of them encompass all that progressive rock represents while staying true to the Christmas theme. Let's hope this is one Christmas tradition that will keep coming around every year for a long time. ~ Gary Hill, All Music Guide
................
Robert Berry discovered The December People, practically in his backyard. With a little help from Magna Carta's Peter Morticelli and Robert Berry, The December People have produced an album of traditional Christmas tunes, arranged as though the classic rock bands of yore had performed them.

Guest vocalists: Steve Walsh (Kansas), Jake Livgren (Kerry's nephew), Trent Gardner (Magellan, Explorers Club), Mike Baker and Gary Wehrkamp (Shadow Gallery), John Wetton (King Crimson, Asia), Lisa Bouchelle (Leonardo) and Robert Berry.

Includes a special bonus track written and performed by Kansas.
